President of Umana, a holding that brings together 20 companies active in the field of services, manufacturing, construction, sports and agriculture.
Umana is also the name of the employment agency founded in 1997 and which in a few years has become the industry leader with 123 branches in Italy, 5 offices in Brazil, 700 professionals and 12,000 people employed in the best Italian companies.
In 2006 he took over Reyer, the historic Venetian basketball club founded in 1872 which, the only case in Italy, now plays in the top league with both the men’s and women’s teams. A project not only sporting, but also social and cultural spread throughout the metropolitan area that involves over 4,500 athletes from 23 clubs in the youth sector.
In 2014 “for his contribution to Italian basketball” he was awarded the prestigious Reverberi Award, the basketball Oscar.
From 2009 to 2013 he was president of Confindustria Venezia recovering an active role in the public debate on the future of our economic and social system.
Also president of Assolavoro, the national trade association of employment agencies; member of the national council and the national board of Confindustria, delegate for Veneto at Expo 2015 and president of the Expo Veneto Committee.
